Jihad Against the US Constitution
Well we are now facing a "Jihad" of our own, one against our Constitution and the Government that we fought so long ago to establish. Our leaders, our politicians in Washington, are making the speeches and giving the rally cries to their followers while smearing any opposition to their belief. If you do not agree with what they are trying to sell you, you are an infidel. Just like the leaders of the terrorist Jihads our politicians are not practicing what they preach. They are telling the American public that the bills they are pushing through are necessary changes for the good of the "people". This agenda they are pushing is moving us away from our capitalistic base and towards a socialistic society, a society that is for the good of all, a redistribution of the wealth, they are going to level the playing field. Do these catch phrases sound like anything you have heard recently? The question is this, is everyone going to move to a more level playing field? Is everyone going to have their wealth redistributed? Probably not. If you know the right people or belong to the right politically connected organization then you are not going to be on the same playing field as the rest of us, you are going to be like the terrorists Jihad leaders, sitting back making the speeches, convincing the masses that they are doing the right thing while you are reaping the benefits. Seems to me the leaders of the jihad against the US Constitution are practicing capitalism, they are capitalizing on the product or service they are offering, which is to kill capitalism in the rest of the nation.

The King refused to pass laws for the good of the Colonies. Instead he passed laws that were for the good of
· He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
This is an example of Dictatorship, he had ultimate control, and no law could be passed, regardless of the importance and urgency without his assent. Our current Government is working towards a form of Dictatorship, towards a Tyrannical Government.
· He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
Refusing to pass laws for the accommodations of large distracts can be likened to passing laws mandating what States will do, taking away the sovereignty of the States.
· He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
· He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
· He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
· He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
The current Government has not prevented population of these States, instead for many administrations they have turned a blind eye to illegal immigration.
· He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
· He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
Past and present administrations have selected Judges for the Supreme Court based on the administrations beliefs, not on whether or not the Judges will interpret the law in a fair and unbiased manner.
· He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
Currently we have 30+ Czars that have been appointed by The President. These Czars are not confirmed by anyone. They may not have any official powers but they have the confidence of the President. The administration is placing power in the hands of organizations (ACORN) that have interests that go against the form of Government that the Founding Fathers put into place. These special interest groups are granted powers of the people that infringe on our basic rights.
· He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
There is not currently a standing army operating within the borders of the
· He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
In this case the balance of power keeps going back and forth, the Republicans keep trying to enlarge the Military while the Democrats try to make it smaller.
· He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
Once again look at ACORN and other “Community Organizers”.
· For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
· For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
· For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
Our trade with other parts of the world is not being cut off, but for decades our manufacturing is being driven out by the Government to other parts of the world.
· For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
Every earmark and pork barrel project that gets injected into proposed bills is taxation without our consent. Continuing Government funded projects that are failing is taxation without our consent. The current Universal Health Care and the Cap and Trade bills are taxation without our consent. Any way you look at it the current bills in Congress are going to raise taxes that will eventually trickle down to all classes. Once they are passed Congress has an open door to levy taxes on everyone.
· For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
· For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences
· For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
· For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

· For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.
The administration is trying to bring the Inspector Generals Office under the power of the White House. The Inspector Generals are an independent office put into place to ensure they are not influenced in the performance of their duties. They are a check and balance against wrongs performed by the Government. If they are under the power of the White House there will not be that independence, that check and balance.
· He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
· He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
· He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
· He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
· He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
Instead of using savages to create insurrections our own President has subtly keep race and religion, and immigration issues alive to create insurrections.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
The repeated injury in the current Government is that our Representatives in Congress, who are elected by the people to represent us do not answer letters or calls or when they do they vote against what the people have requested. To compound this many of the Representatives will not even read the bills they are signing, as long as they are getting the pork barrel projects they want in them. This is not in the best interest of the people, this is a power play.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
We too have warned them from time to time, we have voted new parties into office, we have written letters, made phone calls, all to no avail. We have had our tea parties to demonstrate the modern wrongs of the current Government. The Government has ignored these signs and warnings. Regardless of which party is in power the Government has continued on its march to a new form of Government, a form in which the people no longer have a say. A form in which the people are little more then slaves to do the bidding of the Government. We will no longer be able to follow our dreams, the American Dream; we will be required to walk the path the Government has chosen for us. Good or bad with our Republic we have the right to live our lives and pursue whatever level of success is within our own capabilities.
We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. Open Your Eyes and Mind
With recent events in this country three questions come to mind:
1. When will the average citizen open their eyes and minds and realize what is really happening?
2. How long will this last, before the average citizen says enough?
3. What can the average citizen do to change what’s happening?
The first thing that has to happen is we, the collective we of the average citizens of
Part of having a RIGHT is having the responsibility to accept our lot in life, as long as that “lot in life” is solely due to our own personal limitations. Not every one will be a successful business who legally earns millions of dollars through hard work and lives the lifestyle he/she has earned by doing so. Some of us are destined to be manual laborers and hired help. What right do we have to belittle the successful or to expect them to support us? NONE! We are a free nation with free market capitalism where every one has a chance to reach their own level of legal success without penalties. Why should we penalize those more successful then ourselves? Many Americans have forgotten this or have so little pride in themselves that they refuse to accept this and will make every attempt to have others carry their personal burdens for them.
Our Government has also forgotten what our rights are what their role and duty is to uphold our rights. The Government was formed to protect us from any infringement on those rights and to pass just laws to ensure those rights. The Founding Fathers were wise enough to know that a land without a governing body or to small of a governing body would be a land where only the strongest and most devious survive, but a land with just enough of a governing body to ensure domestic tranquility would allow the people to control the growth of that governing body and maintain it within reasonable boundaries. Our Government was also tasked with protecting our country as a whole from enemies both foreign and domestic, meaning they were to protect our borders from invasion and to protect our trade routes. They were also tasked with regulating interstate trade, keeping the trade between states regular and fair. That was the Government our Founding Fathers envisioned and set into place, not the Government we are seeing today.

To better illustrate what our Government deems to be the right path look at what the Government has done over the last few decades to help the citizens of the United States, better yet, what they have done just to protect the Constitutional rights of the citizens of the United States. Our borders are basically left unprotected. Our border guards are stretched to thin to properly patrol and control the borders, both north and south. Sure this country was formed by immigrants; immigration is good, as long as it’s done legally. Illegal immigration is not only a drain on our resources, including the job market, but it also teaches illegal immigrants that breaking the law is OK. This is a slap in the face to all law abiding citizens and especially to legal immigrants. Legal immigrants are suffering undue prejudices because of the influx of illegal immigrants. Illegal immigration also allows those that hire them to take advantage of their illegal status which usually results in abuses that should not be heaped on any human. Leaving our borders open has also allowed relatively unchecked trafficking of drugs, people and violence in the form of gangs wishing to expand their territory to the
The current administrations bailouts, stimulus bill, Cap and Trade bill and Universal Health Care Reform bill are more examples of how the Government is continuing to grow at reckless rates. If these events do not cause Americans to open their eyes and minds to the direction the Government is headed and what their true agenda is then what will? Why should we and yes it’s WE, bailout poorly run companies? Is it because the survival of the companies is vital to the survival of the company, or is it because the companies are politically well connected? There’s no bail out for small businesses which are the major employers in the
After the bailout fiasco the Government passed a Stimulus Bill with the reasoning it would put more money back into our economy, save jobs, create jobs and get us out of this recession. We are now seeing near record levels of unemployment and we have a National Debt that future generations will be paying for. All over the country people are being laid off and small businesses are closing their doors. Households are tightening their belts even more and spending even less while dealing with the constant fear that they may be the next one to be laid off. The Stimulus Bill is now causing Americans that have been responsible with their spending and borrowing to wonder if they will have a job tomorrow and be able to keep their home. Even our local Governments have lost touch with reality. Local Governments will spend thousands of dollars in advertising that they are broke instead of hoarding that money and putting it to good use. Just recently the Mayor of New York City decided that during this recession it was the right time to spend thousands of taxpayer dollars to close down Broadway around
The latest follies of the Government are the Cap and Trade Bill and the Universal Health Care Bill. Cap and Trade is simply a way for well connected companies to capitalize on controlling the emissions of industry. Sure something should be done to reduce emissions to minimize our impact on the planet but this plan is not the way to do it. Under this plan big industries will be able to side step emission controls by purchasing permits, if they exceed their emission cap they can purchase permits from companies that do not exceed their caps, that’s where the trade part comes in. The smaller companies that cannot afford the emission reduction methods or the permits will end up having to close their doors; once again this will be the small businesses. The larger companies will continue to do business as usual and instead of absorbing the cost of the emission reduction methods or the cost of the permits they will pass that along to the end consumer, the American public. The trade of permits will be handled by companies authorized by the Government. So in the end it will once again be the American public who loses. Have you opened your eyes yet? Do you see the pattern forming?
Universal Health Care is another bill that sounds like the right thing to do on the surface but in reality is just another vehicle taking
Every American needs to look into these plans and what has been done. What you will find is more and more Government control, more Government intrusion into every aspect of our lives. If the Government becomes your landlord it will open the door to legal imminent domain, all they have to do is evict you and sell the property to whoever they want. According to the Constitution imminent domain is illegal; the Government has now found a way around the Constitution. With the Government having a vested interest in auto companies they will be able to dictate what kind of car you can drive and how many each household may have. By way of Cap and Trade the Government will be able to control how you heat, cool, and light your house, they will even be able to dictate what type of appliances you can have in your home. You will lose your personal identity and just be a subject to the Government.
Have you opened your eyes and minds yet? Are you asking where this will end and how long will it last? Are you ready to say ENOUGH!? There is no way to know where this will end, how it will end or how long it will last. The greatest fear is that it will end with
All Americans need to do their own research, read the proposals and the bills the Government is trying to pass. Look at how they are trying to pay for them, look at where the money is going. In every bill there are earmarks just to try and entice votes from those that don’t agree with the bill but want to look good to their constituents. If the bills were really in the best interest of the American people would they need to have enticements in them? Every bill should stand on its own.

Some believe this to be a good thing, why should one person have a big home with a private tennis court and a different car for every day of the week while others are barely scrapping by? Would you still say this if you were the next one to invent the greatest widget ever or open the greatest restaurant ever seen only to have the Government deny you the glory of the success you have achieved? Does anyone really believe that those that are ensconced in the Government and profiting off the hard work of others are going to give up what they have just to level the playing field and spread the wealth around? No, they are going to act like the Monarchs of days gone by and continue to live in the fashion they have come accustomed to on our backs. They will continue to get the automatic cost of living increases and big expense accounts, continue to use taxpayer resources to fly off on vacations, date nights and even fly in pizza makers from

Introduction
I joined the Navy right after graduating from High School. I served our country for 21 years retiring in 2001 after spending 16 years in submarines and another 3 years on surface ships and then finishing off my last 2 at a shore maintenance facility. My time in the Navy was uneventful since it was during the Cold War, important, but thankfully uneventful. Just prior to my retirement my middle son joined the Army and attended MP school and then jump school. After I retired I went to work for a company in Albuquerque, NM for about 18 months but decided I did not like working inside so... I turned to truck driving. I've been an over-the-road driver now for 7 years, the last 5 with my wife as my co-driver. During my first couple of years of driving our son pulled 2 tours in Iraq as an MP with the 82nd Airborne, thankfully he came home safe, although he experienced a lot more then one his age should have to.
Driving a truck gave me plenty of time to listen to the news and become aware of what is going on in our country and the world. I'm not a formally educated person but at the same time I have opinions and beliefs that I feel are just as relevant as the next persons. I am a firm believer in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I believe our Founding Fathers gave us the best start they possibly could. It is our responsibility to ensure the work they did and the blood they shed and the many men and woman over the past couple of centuries have shed is not forgotten.
I know there will be plenty of opposing views which is fine, that's one of the great things of this country, we can openly disagree without fear of persecution. All I ask is to read what I write and be respectful with your comments and I will do the same with your responses.
